دعا الرئيس الفنزويلي، نيكولاس مادورو، إلى صحوة جماعية عاجلة للشعوب والحكومات العالمية لمواجهة ما وصفه بـ«الحرب التجارية الشرسة» التي تشنها الولايات المتحدة ضد 180 دولة حول العالم، مُحذّراً من تصاعد سياسات الهيمنة الإمبريالية التي تستهدف اقتصادات الدول، خاصة في أمريكا اللاتينية.
جاء ذلك خلال كلمته في مؤتمر القمة التاسع للجنة الاقتصادية لأمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي (سيلاك)، حيث أشار مادورو إلى أن التحديات الراهنة تتطلب تجاوز الخلافات الإيديولوجية وإعادة تشكيل وحدة إقليمية قوية، قائلاً: «حان الوقت لوقف التشرذم وبناء جبهة موحدة لدرء الهجمات الاقتصادية التي تُخنق سيادة الشعوب».
وأكد الرئيس الفنزويلي أن واشنطن تُوظف أدوات الحرب التجارية والعقوبات الأحادية الجانب كـ«أسلحة سياسية» لفرض هيمنتها، مُستشهداً بالحصار المُطبق على فنزويلا وكوبا ونيكاراغوا، والذي وصفه بـ«الجريمة الإنسانية» التي تعمق الأزمات الاجتماعية.
كمَا اقترح مادورو تحويل اللجنة الاقتصادية الإقليمية إلى كيان مؤسسي فاعل عبر إنشاء «أمانة عامة» دائمة لها، بهدف تعزيز التكامل الاقتصادي ووضع آليات دفاعية ضد السياسات الأمريكية التصادمية.
يأتي خطاب مادورو في ظل تصاعد التوترات بين كراكاس وواشنطن، وسط انتقادات دولية متزايدة لسياسة العقوبات الأمريكية التي تستهدف—حسب مراقبين—إضعاف النموذج الاشتراكي في المنطقة.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has urged an urgent collective awakening among global governments and peoples to confront what he described as the “fierce trade war” waged by the United States against 180 nations worldwide. He warned of escalating imperialist hegemony policies targeting economies, particularly in Latin America.
Maduro’s remarks came during his speech at the Ninth Summit of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CELAC), where he emphasized that current challenges require transcending ideological differences and rebuilding strong regional unity. “It is time to halt fragmentation and construct a united front to repel economic attacks suffocating the sovereignty of nations,” he declared.
The Venezuelan leader asserted that Washington employs trade war tactics and unilateral sanctions as “political weapons” to impose its dominance, citing the blockades against Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua, which he labeled a “humanitarian crime” exacerbating social crises.
Maduro further proposed institutionalizing the regional economic commission by establishing a permanent “General Secretariat” for CELAC, aiming to bolster economic integration and develop defensive mechanisms against confrontational U.S. policies.
His speech coincides with escalating tensions between Caracas and Washington, amid growing international criticism of U.S. sanctions, which observers argue aim to weaken the socialist model in the region.
