برعاية فخامة الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي، انطلقت اليوم السبت أعمال الدورة الـ51 لمؤتمر العمل العربي في العاصمة المصرية القاهرة، بمشاركة وفد عراقي رفيع المستوى ضمَّ معالي وزير العمل والشؤون الاجتماعية أحمد الأسدي، وسفير جمهورية العراق لدى جامعة الدول العربية الدكتور قحطان طه خلف. وتأتي هذه الدورة الاستثنائية تتويجاً لـ60 عاماً من العطاء في تعزيز التعاون العربي المشترك بقطاعات العمل والتنمية الاجتماعية.
في افتتاح المؤتمر، سُطِّرت صفحة مُشرِّفة للعراق بتكريم معالي الوزير أحمد الأسدي لـجهوده المتميزة وقيادته الناجحة للدورة السابقة التي استضافتها بغداد، ما يؤكد مكانة العراق كـقلب نابض للعمل العربي المشترك.
وأكد الأسدي في كلمته أن “العراق يحرص على ترسيخ شراكات استراتيجية تدعم كفاءة سوق العمل وتُعزز العدالة الاجتماعية في المنطقة”.
تتضمن أعمال المؤتمر مناقشة بنود تنظيمية وفنية حاسمة، من أبرزها تطوير التشريعات العمالية ومواجهة تحديات البطالة، مع إصدار حزمة قرارات تُعتبر نقلة نوعية لتعزيز الحماية الاجتماعية وتمكين الكفاءات العربية.
وأشار السفير الدكتور قحطان خلف إلى أن “هذه القرارات ستُشكِّل ركيزةً لمسيرة تنموية شاملة، تعكس إرادة عربية موحَّدة”.
بينما تُواصل القاهرة احتضانها لفعاليات المؤتمر، يبقى العراق صوتاً فاعلاً في صناعة مستقبل العمل العربي، ممثلاً برؤية طموحة تجسد التزامه الراسخ بدعم الاستقرار الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في المنطقة.
وتُعَد هذه الدورة محطةً جديدةً تُضاف إلى سجل إنجازات العراق في قيادة الحوارات العربية البنَّاءة.
Iraq.. Leadership and Excellence at the 51st Arab Labor Conference in Cairo: Minister of Labor Honored and Historic Decisions Unveiled
Under the patronage of His Excellency Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the 51st session of the Arab Labor Conference commenced on Saturday in Cairo, with the participation of a high-level Iraqi delegation headed by His Excellency Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi, and Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Arab League, Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf.
This milestone session marks 60 years of dedicated efforts to strengthen Arab joint cooperation in labor and social development sectors.
During the opening ceremony, Iraq shone brightly as Minister Ahmed Al-Asadi was honored for his outstanding contributions and successful leadership of the previous session hosted by Baghdad.
This recognition reaffirms Iraq’s role as a beating heart of joint Arab labor action.
In his address, Al-Asadi emphasized that “Iraq is committed to fostering strategic partnerships that enhance labor market efficiency and promote social justice across the region.”
The conference’s agenda includes pivotal regulatory and technical discussions on modernizing labor legislation, addressing unemployment challenges, and launching a landmark package of decisions to bolster social protections and empower Arab competencies.
Ambassador Dr. Qahtan Khalaf highlighted that “these resolutions will lay the foundation for comprehensive development, reflecting a unified Arab will.”
As Cairo continues to host the conference’s proceedings, Iraq remains an influential voice in shaping the future of Arab labor policies, driven by a visionary approach that embodies its steadfast commitment to advancing economic and social stability in the region.
This session stands as a new milestone in Iraq’s legacy of leading constructive Arab dialogues and delivering tangible achievements.
